Get those expressive eyes with perfect eyebrows

Los Angeles, Dec 27 : Eyebrows have been a huge beauty trend this year, so if you're still struggling on how to perfect your own, follow the basic steps, says an expert.

Rabbia Aslam, creative director of Hena Salons and Clinics, says that one of the best ways to flaunt the perfect eyebrow is the threading technique.

To create the perfect brow to suit your face shape, the secret is marking the points of where they should start, arch and end according to your facial features, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Here is what Aslam shares

- Step One: Book in a full brow consultation!

A consultation is a great way of ensuring that you get the exact results you desire. Your consultant will talk through your past treatments, your previous method of hair removal and preferred shape. They can then advise you on how to get the best results in time. It is important to have realistic expectations, for example, if you have a thin shape eyebrow and fancy a change, actress-model Cara Delevingne's bushy brow is unrealistic.

- Step Two: Get the colour!

Tinting can help to enhance the colour of the brows, making them more noticeable and giving them more definition. Tints come in a variety of shades so be sure to choose the right shade to match your colouring.

- Step three: Threading

The great thing about threading is the technique, it is so precise and this type of treatment removes the hair with minimal irritation to the skin. Best of all, one treatment can last up to two weeks. To create the perfect brow to suit your face shape, the secret is marking the points of where they should start, arch and end according to your facial features.

- Step four: Make sure you condition!

A good brow conditioner is essential, like the hair on your scalp the eyebrows also need some tender love and care. An eyebrow condition will help nourish the hair and gives a thicker and fuller brow. This should be done every day.

Spanish designer creates Latin-style Barbie

Los Angeles, Jan 1 : When Neysa Bove migrated from Spain to the US, she was a little girl with three Barbies in her suitcase -- today, as a professional fashion designer, she creates new wardrobes for the classic doll.

"I design Barbies in evening dress so she looks elegant, as if she is going to a party, and others in one-piece bathing suits," Bove said.

The designer creates her elegant, stylish Barbie clothing in El Segundo city in California.

"I work in the Average Barbies department, where we create clothes fit for a normal person, which is different from our Fantasy department, where they dress up Barbies like sirens, fairies and other imaginary characters," the 27-year-old designer said.

Bove, the youngest of three children of a couple from Barcelona, who in 1996 won the US Visa Lottery and migrated to Phoenix, Arizona, said creativity and design are familiar subjects.

"I started drawing from the time I could walk, because my father, Quim Bove, is a contemporary painter," the stylist said.

Bove studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in Los Angeles till 2007 and learned animation at the California Institute of the Arts, where she attended classes with her sister Lorelay, who currently works in the visual development at Disney.
